Golden Foam

 

it's back, and revamped... this new batch of golden foam is a marriage of old and new-world brewing, fermented with a german kolsch yeast strain and american citra and sterling hops. malt character is accentuated by the kolsch yeast, with a profile of toasted grain, toffee and honey. light to medium-bodied, with high carbonation, there is a beautiful balance of hops, malt and yeast. filtered for extreme clarity and crushability! cheers to the glow of summer!

our latest staff concept ale, brewed with our executive catering chef rick medcalf, is an american stout with local balaton cherries from king orchards, with Madagascar vanilla beans from beanilla added. aromas and flavors are vanilla, tart cherries, dark chocolate and a subtle roastiness. full-bodied, with a rich and creamy mouthfeel, and a tart, mouth-watering finish. nitro exclusive!

Sleeping with Chela

 

Our newest staff concoction was concepted with All-star bartender Chela Wallin and is a rye blonde ale brewed with lavender and chamomile from Jake the Brewer's garden as well as some ginger! Sleeping With Chela has aromas and flavors of lavender, ginger, and chamomile with a malt character of toasted grain and spicy rye. Light-bodied with moderate carbonation. Come in and snuggle up to a relaxing pint of this unique ale while it lasts!

One Night In Cologne

Aromas and flavors are subtle pear and apricot fruitiness, sweet grain and honey malt character, with a herbaceous hop presence. Light-bodied with high carbonation

and a crisp, clean dry finish. Inspired by some of Claudia’s own experiences in Cologne. The yeast strain used was propagated  from a brew pub in koln, germany!

Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast provides aromas and flavors of banana, clove, honey, and lemony citrus. Malt characteristics are toasted wheat and sweet grains. Light-bodied with high carbonation; a perfect warm weather beer.

The Forager

It’s that time of year again: Time for the forager. Aromas and flavors are bready, caramel, toffee, dark dried fruit, red licorice and hop character. Dedicated to the hearty folk who are strapping on their hikers and grabbing their mesh bags to hit the beautiful forests of Michigan in search of the elusive morel mushroom!

Pannell's Flanders Red

The aroma and taste of tart cherries, red licorice, toffee, and caramel combine with the underlying funk that defines a flanders red ale in this barrel aged creation. We named this beer after the city’s first brewer, John Pannell, who was brewing in Grand Rapids as early as 1836.
