Blonked It Belgian

aromas and flavors of circus peanuts and a peppery spiciness from belgian ale yeast with malt character that are toffee, caramel and tossed grains. medium-bodied with high carbonation­­; there’s just enough hop bitterness and flavor to create a harmonious balance.

Bread Basket

This is a unique collaboration beer a year in the making brewed with Calvin Engineering students Ayo Ayoola, Michael Schur, Hanfei Niu and Jerome Navarro. We brewed this blonde ale with 100 lbs of day old bread from numerous local bakeries. Aromas and flavors of bread, toasted grains and a sweet maltiness. Light-bodied with moderate carbonation.

This is a unique pale wheat brewed with crystal and centennial hops from NMO hopyards, malt from pilot malthouse, and lemongrass from greenhouse 17 in lexington kentucky. Aroma flavors of tangerine, lemon, lime, and floral.

Brewer’s Heritage

Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast provides aromas and flavors of banana, clove, honey, and lemony citrus. Malt characteristics are toasted wheat and sweet grains. Light-bodied with high carbonation; a perfect warm weather beer.

The Forager

It’s that time of year again: Time for the forager. Aromas and flavors are bready, caramel, toffee, dark dried fruit, red licorice and hop character. Dedicated to the hearty folk who are strapping on their hikers and grabbing their mesh bags to hit the beautiful forests of Michigan in search of the elusive morel mushroom!

The Devil Went Down to Ionia

Modeled after the industry standard duvel, this ale offers aromas and flavors of bubblegum, banana, citrus, a toasty, sweet maltiness and a tad bit of spice and herbaceousness from the hops. Light-bodied with an extremely clean, dry finish.

Pannell's Flanders Red

The aroma and taste of tart cherries, red licorice, toffee, and caramel combine with the underlying funk that defines a flanders red ale in this barrel aged creation. We named this beer after the city’s first brewer, John Pannell, who was brewing in Grand Rapids as early as 1836.

One Night In Cologne

Aromas and flavors are subtle pear and apricot fruitiness, sweet grain and honey malt character, with a herbaceous hop presence. Light-bodied with high carbonation

and a crisp, clean dry finish. Inspired by some of Claudia’s own experiences in Cologne. The yeast strain used was propagated  from a brew pub in koln, germany!
